Public Speaker, Writer, and Consultant in Washington, DC
A second generation American born into a bi-racial family, Lani is a passionate advocate for the immigrant and refugee communities. As an ordained minister, she is a firm believer that faith based communities can and should be the most welcoming organizations for our new neighbors.
You can usually find Lani at one of her favorite District coffee shops sipping a hot pour over, advocating more faith based communities to join this cause, and sharing stories of her resettled Syrian and Afghan friends.
As a mother of five to a blended, diverse group of young adults, Lani is a firm believer of welcoming EVERYONE to her table, regardless of faith, race, gender, or creed.
If you want to learn more about how you can be a welcoming neighbor, community group, or church to the refugees in your area, send Lani an email. You can also download her e-book resource, The Reach of One, with a click on the button above.
